The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) was founded nationally in 1979 as the technical arm of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN). Globally, ACPN represents Nigeria as an active member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation / Community Pharmacy Section (FIP/CPS).
In Akwa Ibom State, our chapter unites every licensed, registered community pharmacist across retail, wholesale, and distribution networks. Because community pharmacies are consistently the most accessible healthcare facilities, we act as the vital bridge between grassroots communities and the broader health infrastructure.

Through hundreds of community pharmacy outlets across Akwa Ibom, ACPN members deliver essential clinical and public health services:
Professional dispensing, rational drug therapy monitoring, patient counseling, drug interaction checks, and adverse drug reaction monitoring for maximum therapeutic benefit.
Providing screening services including blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose testing, malaria rapid diagnostic testing (RDT), health risk assessments, and timely referrals.
Active participation in HIV/AIDS Anti-Retroviral refill services, Tuberculosis control, Malaria management, Reproductive Health, and routine Immunization support programs.
Maintaining cold-chain integrity, verified sourcing from licensed distributors, and fighting fake and substandard medicines across Akwa Ibom State.
Community pharmacies are often the first port of call for patients. Hence, the ACPN is the vitalwindow to the healthcare ecosystemacross Akwa Ibom State.
